12th Annual Town Cleanup Update!

This year’s 12th Annual Stow Town Cleanup is cancelled but there is no reason why you can’t make a difference on your own!

While you’re out walking (and social distancing!), bring a garbage bag with you and pick up the trash you find along the road. Then put the bags out with your regular trash pickup.

Be sure to wear long pants and bug spray to deter ticks. Be careful and alert for poison ivy, see photo on the right.

And most importantly, wear a safety vest and bright colored clothes to increase your visibility.

If you like, post photos of your efforts on our Facebook page @stowcleanup. Email highway@stow-ma.gov if you find something too big to dispose of yourself (e.g., tires, a kitchen sink).

There’s a lot of litter along our roads this year. It’s up to us to help keep our town clean and beautiful.
